JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Swedish Board of Agriculture is responsible for official statistics in the agricultural sector. We are working to expand one of our economic surveys to include all sustainability dimensions. The survey is EU-regulated and is called FSDN in English. The expansion means that we need to create new controls and calculate new variables. The programming language we use is R.

The work will mainly consist of programming controls and calculations in the programming language R. You will be part of a group of four summer interns working on the same task. To a lesser extent, you will also participate in the Statistics Unit's other activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is studying or has just completed a Bachelor’s degree in statistics or a related field. You should have taken an academic course in the programming language R and practically applied the knowledge, for example, in a thesis, project, or employment. The working language is Swedish, so you must be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of agriculture in Sweden, so that you can assess the reasonableness of your calculations.

The tasks require precision and a systematic approach, and we are looking for someone who is quality-conscious and enjoys working in a structured manner. You have a good ability to solve tasks in the programming language R and use your analytical skills to ensure reliable results.

As a person, you are structured, analytical, collaborative, and curious—qualities that help you contribute both to the work process and to the team's common goals. In this recruitment, we will place great importance on your personal abilities.

Warm welcome to your application!

OTHER

The work location is Jönköping, and the work is performed on-site at the office. In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection.

For us, it is important that all competencies in the labor market are utilized. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity.

In preparation for the recruitment process, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. Therefore, we do not wish to be contacted by advertising sellers or recruitment companies.
